  1. I have a video interview with a since deceased family member that has a little problem... the microphone was placed such that the interviewer's voice is at an extremely high level, while the interviewee can barely be heard. Normalizing or amplifying makes changes to each voice level at the expense of the other, but is there a tool or method to bring them down (or up) to approximately the same level? Thanx!

    If you can't normalise then you may have to do it the long way by isolating just the soft dialogue and changing it section by section. It may take a while, but that is why they call it a labour of love.

    Compression would be your best bet. It will level out the highs and lows.
