    Hi,

I use to encode my DVD films with GordianKnot 0.35.0 and Xvid 1.0.3.

Sometimes I'd like to remake the encoding because I want to give the film a new size or because, for instance, yesterday I forgot to put the packed bitstream that I need for my standalone to play smoothly the film. and now I want to reencode the same film with that option.

Is it possible to make only the second pass using the stats file?

In Gordian Knot Divx Encoding Control Panel I choose nth pass and load the avs and the stats files, but as soon I start encoding I get that warning:
Number of counted frames differs from settings!
    Settings: 142000
    Counted: 149799
    Diffference: 7799
    Correcting Bitrate
    Original Bitrate= 935 k
    Now encoding at 886 k

Then I think that something is wrong and at the end I do again the two passes, which is a waste of time if it's possible to remake only the last one.

    Thanks in advance.

Perhaps you were encoding the credits at a lower bitrate and GK does it in two parts instead of just using zones? If so then you could be looking at the stats file for the movie minus the credits.

    Thank you.
You are right, I encoded the credits at a lower bitrate.
I had a look at the stats file but I don't know how I can make what you suggest.

Well, I tried the statsreader (2pass ext) but without success.

Probably I did something wrong: I only wrote the credits start that I found in the Gknot.log and then saved a new stats file. I loaded it but I got the same warning saying that counted frames differs from settings.

    I would appreciate some advice.
