  1. I want to know what the best program is to convert AC3 files to WAV files. Freeware is a plus. I use PX3's AC3 converter, but the right channel is always distorted. What's the best option for me?

    Thanks!

When it sounds too good to be true, it usually is!!

  4. Thanks for your input.

AC3 Tool muffled the left channel. I have to download more things to make HeadAC3he work.

Headac3he should come in an .RAR file with everything included. What else do you need?

  6. Headac3he wanted me to download the Vorbis dll and the aziz dll as well.

I got it to work but Headac3he also muffled the left channel.

There are some trial programs I have used that take 10x longer to decode the ac3, but the audio is perfect on both channels. Any thoughts to this mystery?

    Thanks,
    Casey

I think that you have a problem with the output from your soundcard or with your speakers/headphones.

  8. Nope, this happens on multiple computers and is on the finished DVD as well.

It's like one channel sounds like a 320kbps MP3 (for example) and the other channel sounds like a 40kbps MP3 file. It's "swishy" and "muffled".

I have had this happen with every AC3 decoding program that didn't take 30+ minutes to decode.

    Weird.
