    Still it would be nice to have a dedicated HD forum. That is the future. 3 years ago we were talking mostly VCD then wox VCD and now DVD. Next HD.

    Definitely something to consider for the future but as I said in another thread...

    HDV for the time being can be discussed at the DV forum. Since HDV is based on global DV specs and is but one of the emergent HD formats, it could be wasteful to separate the two at this stage.

    A Sony HD camcorder is now under US $1500, you an even get it as a package with Vegas.
    I think that a forum dedicated to camera, capture, editing and when it becomes available blu Ray authoring would be great. I really do feel it needs to be seperate from HDTV which is now big at least in the USA (20% of homes)
