I I have some cocert dvds that were done on a stand alone burner & they have chapters every 5 min. Now using dvd remakepro I want the chapter markers exactly between songs which is easy enough. The problem is that I can't get rid of the markers every 5 minutes. Even when I try, The programs are syill there so the dvd play reads them as chapter marks.
Best case would be a dvd decrypter type program that rips a dvd without the chapter info so I can just track it from scratch. Is that possible or is there some other way to get rid of them? Thanks

    Hi
You can rip a video with DVD Decrypter without the chapters in IFO mode,
And i don't know about dvd remakepro as i don't use it, i use TDA & DVD-lab PRO, but those prgrams allow you to delete chapter points and re-add them anywhere you want.

    EDIT:
Posted right on the Tool page for dvd remakepro

    Guides for this tools:
How to insert chapter into DVD movie keeping menus

Not sure if it will delete chapter points but it seem's alot easier to reauthor them in TDA and just delete them and re-add them

Ok just opened dvd decrypter in ifo mode & I can't figure it out. It looks like I can delete chapters (not extract parts of the movie) but I don't ss where I can get rid of the chapters altogether. Any ideas? Thanks

  5. The easiest way is:
    1) use DVD Decrypter to get the VOB files into your PC
    2) use VOB Edit to demux them to .mv2 and .ac3 (chapters info are lost)
    3) use IFO Edit to re-author the DVD using the mv2 and ac3 files above, at this step, you can speciy where the new chapter marks are.

Well I'm retty new to this, so I really don't know what mv2 & ac3 are. Is it like audio & video? Am I gonna have to resync? Also in vob edit Do I do one vob file at a time or is there a way to do the whole thing at once( it was hard to tell. And in ifoedit is there a way to reauther it with no chapters & than use dvdremaker?(only because I already know how to use that program for adding chapters.) Or is it pretty easy in IFOedit? Thanks!!

Well if you want to do it that way, you can eliminate VOB Edit to demux and just rip the audio & video into seperate streams with DVD Decrypter

    @ slipknotmr
The .m2v is the video stream and the .ac3 is usually just the audio stream, if it's .ac3, which im sure your's is.

The easiest way to do what you want to do is,
1: rip in file mode with DVD Decrypter
2: open in TMPGEnc DVD Author
3: add chapters where you want
    4: author & burn.

Just using 2 easy programs. when you import the files into TDA, you can even choose to not read/import the chapter points & just add the new ones where you want them.
& no, you wont have to do any syncing of audio & video.
Also if there is anything in the video you want to get rid of, you can also cut out anything you want in TDA & make motion menu's.

Also TMPGEnc DVD Author/TDA has a fully functional trial period of 30 days.
