It would be easy enough to do with a re-author but if you want to keep the menus?
If re-authoring is Ok, I'd make sure the deleted scenes are the same as far as resolution, audio type etc. Then I would use VideoReDo to split up the original movie into parts at the point where I wanted to insert the scene, Then when I have all the parts including the deleted scenes ready to go, I would use VideoReDo to combine all the parts into one big MPG and feed into favorite authoring application, In My case for ease of use TMPGEnc DVD Author program. Possible depending on the old menus if I extracted them too, I would use the main menu set to motion menu or to save space a screen capture of the menu, I would then put the Play All button as play movie, the chapters where it says chapters, any extras would have been authored as additional title with each extra as a chapter and the chapter menu would then become the extras menu, etc.
Hope this helps.
Same simplistic method can be used to add your own content or to remove objectionable sections if desired. Or to edit out language for children you would cut out the part, demux the ausio from the video, replac ethe sound track with whatever, remux and put back in as above.
In fact I have this sort of project in mind for sometime this week, when I get the free time. -
Theres no menus. Straight movie. Wish you could do it with dvd shrink instead of having to purchase everything but it looks like I have to. Thanks TBoneit
Life is like a pothole, you just have to learn to get around it. -
Lady takes photo of dead husband to photographer's studio to have another print made:
Lady, "Can you make me a couple copies of this picture?"
Clerk, "Sure. Want us to touch it up and make the picture better?"
Lady, "Great. Get rid of that stupid hat."
Clerk,"OK. Which side did he part his hair on?"
Lady, "I don't remember. You'll see when you take his hat off."

You do not have to purchase unless you already used up your trial on those two programs....
I fell they are worth the money but they both have free trials and provide full functionality during the trial.
One thing to beware of the Newest version of DVD author puts a watermark on the menu. The older versions 1.5 & 1.6 do not so I'd use them.
1.5 works fine for me. 1.6 worked for me when I needed to make a dual layer DVD, Main difference between 1.5 & 1.6 is the dual layer authoring.
Other thing register for the VideoReDo trial and get the trial key or it'll only output arouind 500 meg files.
BTW in VRD it is really easy to do frame accurate edits. One coarse slider and one fine slider plus keyboard shrotcuts.
Good Luck -
