Im adding an old b&w movie i acquired from the net, gspot says divx5 with no errors, when I load in tmpgenc (to make it 50% of a dvd size so i can have 2 movies on one) it reports movie length is 302 minutes when its actually 90. Thats using the wizard so how can I set file size without the wizard ie to fit half a dvd-r?

    I'll guess VBR MP3 .... or maybe AC3.

If MP3, extract the audio to WAV:

If AC3, I'd demux with Virtualdubmod, then remux to your video when authoring.
    If in doubt, Google it.
