  1. When archiving my home DVD projects in the past I have just been burning the entire contents of the VIDEO_TS folder to a data DVD. Now I realize it would have been better to have kept all the individual components BEFORE they were compiled, as opposed to after.

So now I'm wondering if there is any way of reverse engineering my old VIDEO_TS folders back to their individual components - m2v video files, ac3 audio files, menu artwork, etc. Or am I SOL?

    Thanks.

Yes. You can use dvddecrypter and use stream processing to get the seperate video and audio files.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

  3. Thanks for the replies, but those solutions only seem to get me the audio and video. What about menus?

Menus are contained in the VIDEO_TS.VOB, and any _0.VOB files. if you're looking to remake your DVDs and want true control over everything you should probably look at something like DVDRemake Pro.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  5. demux the menus with vobedit. Or take screenshots with a software DVD player and use those.
