Chapter points and Clip questions

Hello,
I am new to the video game and have a couple of basic questions.

I have been using Sonic MyDVD to capture some old analog VHS tapes to my computer by pass through on my Sony HC40 camera. Not much of a problem but I am confused about a couple of points. On the capture screen the questions are ask: "Create Chapter Points" and "Add Clip to Menu". I am not sure what the correct answers should be. If I create chapter points, of 5 minutes, the capture program breaks the capture into 5 minute segments which I assume would make it easier to find a particular segment to edit. I will be doing little or no editing. Should I not create chapter points? What is the advantage or disadvantage of creating chapter points? As far as Add Clip to Menu I don't have a clue what this does and don't know if I should check this box or not.

Any clarification you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Chapters is just that - points in your final DVD movie that you can jump to. (Using the remote.)
Add clip to menu, must mean that the clip gets a menu item created automatically in the DVD menu system.
