My VCR's broken, and my (JVC) DVD player is old and incompatile with most recorded DVDs, so I figure it's time to replace both, with a dual-deck to save space.
I'm looking for a combination DVD/VCR unit under 200 dollars that has:
1)DTS Support
2)Digital Audio Optical Output [one feature your search criteria is missing]
3)Support for DVD +/- R discs.
and of course
4) Good audio (and video) quality. HD-support isn't an issue atm, as it's not likely i'll be able to afford an HDTV anytime soon.
So far I've been considering the Sony SLV-D360P, being the first/only combo-deck I've seen so far with Digital Optical output in my price range, but I haven't been able to find any reviews of it. Prices do seem to have dropped a bit since the last time I looked, but I don't want to find out later that there's a reason why this is the only one I've found matching my criteria at this price. . .
Thanks - any suggestions would be appreciated.
