Been a while, so hello all!
I have recently 'discovered' the wonders & simplicity of DVD Remake after reading many good things said about it. After a bit of experimenting with it I have what I hope is a simple question:
When I use DVD Remake to merge two (or more) DVDs to one, it creates for you a standard first play select menu. This menu (as many of you no doubt already know) is based on a default menu asking you to select and play either 'Disk 1' or 'Disk 2' etc. with a bogey green background image that includes the DVD Remake logo.
My question is this: Once I have exported & created my merged DVD using Remake, how can I reauthor this intro disk select menu - is this even possible. What I'm aiming for is a background image of my own choice, highlightable text / images of my own choice that link as per the original Remake disk select menu. I'm looking for a program that is as simple to use DVD Lab Pro.
Infact some of you may come back and hopefully tell me that I can indeed use DVD Lab Pro or TMPG DVD Author - but if so how & what are the pitfalls?
Any advice on best programs to use greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Andy

I've got a feeling that you create your menu as you would like in TDA or DVD-lab and then import it into DVDRemake and replace all the links and commands to what you need them to be.If in doubt, Google it. -
Hi Jim
Nice to see you're still a major contributor to this forum!
Good answer to my question, exactly what I was looking for so many thanks for that, mucho appreciated.
Can anyone suggest a good program that can be used to create these so called dummy single menu item DVDs?
Cheers,

stiltman and MackemX had a few trials with it here:

That mentions TDA, but I believe you can use any authoring program to create your menu, as all you need is the VIDEO_TS.VOB file it creates. If in doubt, Google it. -
also make sure you are uisng dvdremakepro and NOT the smaller dvdremake. The Pro adds/has many more features than the regular version
