So I ripped a DVD of mine to my computer, reduced the size in DVD Shrink and saved it in an ISO. I burn DVD Shrink with these new DVD-R's I bought, and when I try to verify the data it says 'Device Not Ready (Unable to Recover TOC).' If you want to know what DVD burner I have, it is a Toshiba SD-R5272 8X DVD +/-RW drive. The DVD-R's I have are Smart Buy DVD+R, 4.7GB and 1-8x RW. Now my DVD drive is 8x but it burns at maximum 4x for some odd reason. I've upgraded the firmware and nothing has happened.
Anyone care to explain what the error means and how to solve it?

I think I figured out, my DVD burner is actually not working correctly and I have to get a new one.
It has given Cyclic Redundancy Checks to any kind of disc I put in there no matter what, even with the better media. So now it's just saving up money for a decent DVD writer.
