    Hi everyone,

I've finally got my computer updated into this century. I've been trying to make a mix DVD but haven't gotten very far. I am using the following link I found on this site:
    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/198813.php
"How to make a mixed DVD"

After completing "1b. Fix video clips" and upon playing the video clip, I cannot get audio. The clip plays find, but no audio from the clip itself. My computer has audio and plays other video and other audio files. By default, the file is played in Windows Media Classic. I tried to play it in the latest version of Windows Media player, and still no sound. I followed the steps carefully and made sure to select both video and audio in the "Stream" section of Rejig. I tried these steps more than twice with the same results.

The file that is created from demuxing (mixing) the audio and video is a ".m2v" extension. Upon further research, I've been told that this is only a "video" file format without audio. In DVD shrink, I made sure the perference was set to AC3 audio. I can't get the file to ocme out in a different format. According to the author of the tutorial, I should have a working audio/video file prior to making menus.

Finally, I've e-mailed the author, but he hasn't gotten back to me as yet.

I know there are tons of threads going up here daily, but I would appreciate if someone could give me clear and detailed information on how to get my DVD ripped files to play with audio.

Also, if there is an easier way to make a mixed DVD, I would appreciate suggestions as well.

    thanks

    Ron

Actually, I think I do get another audio file, it opens up in windows media player. However, I thought I would have only one file with both audio and video. Okay, what do I do then after I use "Rejig." I don't think the next steps would apply to me because I am not doing menus. How do I get that single clip to play with audio?

Thanks for your response Baldrick? Did you get my e-mail?
