Can Liteon LVW5045 or 5045GDL+ play one show and record 2nd?

I have read the docs but it is not clear if this can be done. What I want to be able to do is watch last week's recorded show while recording this week's.

Manual clearly says you can watch the current show you are recording but can you watch a previously recorded show while recording a new show?

Pioneer and Panasonic have the record 1 and play another feature.

Does the Liteon 5045 have this?

I don't think this is possible with the Liteon.

IIRC, you can't do anything with the HDD contents while the machine is recording something.
