I'm attempting my 1st motion menu with DVDWS2.. Simple question is this: How do I create the motion clip for the menu??

Is it simple as using something like MPEGVCR to 'cut' the motion scenes (assuming mpg/DVD compliant), then importing them into DVDWS2's video library, then into the menu background i the Menu stage? If so, I think I can handle it.. BUT...

What if I want to use mulitiple scenes/clips that I want to run together seamlessly? How do I join them together or is there an easier way in DVDWS2 to do this.. or.. ?? Any help w/b appreciated.. thanks!

Lastly, in the menu, how the heck do I get a simple still in the thumbnail for chapters? (everytime I create a menu, I keep getting motion thumbnails).. I simply use the auto-add chapters feature for creating chapters (fixed time intervals).

The tittle of your post should have read something like this:

    "DVDWS2 and Motion Menus?"

It's been years since I've used DVDWS, so I can't help you with that app specifically. I will tell you that the best way to create a motion menu, is to do it in your Video Editor, then encode to Mpeg before importing into DVD Authoring app.

This is for 1.3 but itshould be the same or similar for 2. When your on the main menu tab(e.g. capture, edit, menu....) On the very top there should be 3 tabs slightly below them. labled menu, button, text. Click the button tab then highlight the thumb you want to adjust, there should be a checkbox for motion button.
