I have a 512MB Lexar JumpDrive I got a while back for one hell of a price. I think I'm starting to see why it was so cheap. For some reason when I delete a file off of it, the thing won't actually free up the space. The file disappears but the amount of used space doesn't change. I have to reformat it to regain the storage I'm missing. This is one of those models that comes with the password software, but I don't use it and it didn't work on half the computers I tried it with anyway. Anyone know a fix for this. As a note, this lists as a HDD in My Computer, not Removable Drive like the rest of my flash drives.

if you installed the software (lightning) that comes with jump drive that is why you can not simply delete files. You need to use the rescue (image rescue??) option in the software in order to permanently delete those files. In my opinion, Lexar makes the best looking jump drives but 90% of them are cumbersome to use and the software that comes with them is marginal at best.

I didn't use the software at all on it. I couldn't even get it to run on any computer but one. It isn't secured at all. Should act just like a normal pen drive. Unfortunately it doesn't. The Lexar Sport I have has no such issues. I think I'll stick with Sandisk from now on. Never had any issues there.
