I just got a new Sony camcorder TRV280 and it needs a different firewire cable end than I was using on my TRV103. Same 4 pin but it is shaped different. What gives??? Anyone seen this documented anywhere???
Thisd really ticks me off.

Sure your not confusing it with the USB connection to the left, they are very similar.

Probably the USB port. Many new cams have a mini-USB 4 pin port now as well as firewire. More a "webcam" type use, the two I've seen don't support transfer from tape by USB.
