    I am setting up a web cam on my wifes parents PC this weekend (most likely a a descent web cam or possibly a camcorder). I will be using my Canon camcorder on my side. Never done this before and am wondering what program to use. Also would it actually be easier to use a web cam vs. camcorder? Thanks All!

    I'm assuming you're doing this for the purposes of a webchat or something ?


    If so, MSN (or windows) messenger supports video link-ups, as does the old faithful NetMeeting. Last I heard, Skype was rumoured to be developing video support also.

    Yes, this will be my wifes first Christmas ever not being at home with her family so I thought I would earn some bonus points by setting up a live web conference.
