Scart lead connections

Hi again!
I have one scart lead connection on the back of my television so in order to connect my sky box,video and dvd I have bought a 3 gang scart connector. I have connected the scart lead from the 3 gang connector to the television and put a scart lead from the sky box,video and dvd into the 3 connectors on the adapter. Why can I not record from sky to the video and the dvd appears to not work either. HELP!!!

I'm guessing that you may have bought one of those cheap multi-scart connector blocks ?

What you really need is an electronically switching scart control centre - you can get these from a good home entertainment centre.

The proper electronic scart controllers will auto switch the feed to your tv depending upon which device is sending the signal to it.
For instance if you are watching from your skybox and you then decide to watch a DVD, as soon as you switch on the DVD player the scart control box will switch your tv to the DVD feed.

They also have a record facility on them so that you can record from your skybox whilst watching another feed.

You will be looking to spend anywhere from £50 upwards for a good scart controller but they are well worth it.
