    hi good day to all,

    i read somewhere that it's possible to author dvd using mpeg1 did anyone of you guys tried it if yes can you show me how to do it appreciate the help thanks

    Look at What is DVD (top left of the menu) to see the allowable specs for mpeg-1 usage. Basically you are resticted to VCD resolution (read low res), but at a slightly higher bitrate. You can fit up to around 7 hours on a single sided/layer disk at this res. If you already have VCD source material, don't re-encode, just up the sample rate of the audio to DVD compliance 48khz) and author.

    Yes. Encode as VCD mpg, but use 48 kHz audio sample rate (instead of VCD std 44.1).
    If you already have VCD compliant mpg, both DVD-Lab (pro only?) and TMPGEnc DVD Author takes care of the audio upsampling for you, when authoring.
