Trying to convert this VIDEO_TS to AVI DivX and get a superb video with no audio.
However the audio information (ac3, 48000Hz, 192 kbps) is recognized in the Source format field.
And the correct Audio track is selected under the Audio tab.
If I try play, there is no sound.
However if I play MPlayer separately the sound is here.
    This is the Process information:

  2. I'm experiencing quite the same problem with all the movies I ripped using MacTheRipper : ffmpegX doesn't "detect" the VIDEO_TS file when I tell the program to select it. However, when I press the "play" button, the movie plays — but no sound.

Did you find an answer to this problem, since you posted this ? Otherwise, could anybody give me some piece of advice ?
    Thanks !

Sorry. Too old. I couldn't even believe I posted this one when I just read it now.
Usually to do this type of encoding I use HandBrake.
Why did I try FFmpegX here ? I cannot remember.

  4. Thanks for your reply anyway.
I've tried HandBrake, but the application (latest version) quits instantly when I launch it !

I'm a poster on HB forum too.
Your problem has been reported several time.
    It never happened to me.
But I know there is a fix for G3 users.
Are you one of them ?
This is the forum link, it's quite empty now because the site crashed and it just opened again a few days ago:

  6. I am actually a G3 user. I downloaded the latest Handbrake daily build, and now the program launches ! Excellent, thanks a lot for the link, mate.
