First off, what is the best way to dual boot XP and Linux (Fedora 4)? I've got XP installed already and want to boot Fedora 4 from a boot DVD. I've run Redhat before but on a single machine. I've got 2 different HDs for each OS. Can anybody give me some tips so I don't lose my XP?

Question 2: Is there a program that allows me to send my email from my email program (Thunderbird) to my Netscape and other Webmails? I've heard there is but can't remember what it is.

    Thanks in advance,

    Roger

If you mean you want to forward every email that comes to account A to account B automatically You'd have to configure that in account A on the server end. If it's a ISP account just go to their homepage and login to your account and look up the email account. Most ISP's allow you to that.

Just boot to the Fedora distro DVD. I did the same thing at work without issue. Fedora will locate XP and install as normal. It should create a boot menu for you too.

  4. Ye it will work fine, but just bear one thing in mind it will overwrite your MBR (Master Boot Record) so if you ever get rid of Fedora it can (and happened to me on Fedora 2) corrupt the boot loader so you will not be able to boot to XP...

In the end i had to format and re install xp as fixmbr (part of xp recovery console) did not work

In the future if that ever happens to you again, use Knoppix to load a complete Linux OS from the CDrom, enter XP and manually write in the Boot.ini file. Then reboot and XP should load. Works a treat.

Okay the dual boot works fine, but is there any way to change the initial time that it goes to windows? I'd like to see the original time out be 30 seconds or so.

    Thanks in advance
