I'm having trouble with a capture card I bought on ebay. It's a "TV Champ" card, with Philips 7134 chipset and Philips tuner. (I'd done some browsing of this forum and decided that would be a good option for me and thought I'd save some money before investing in something more expensive, like the ATI AIW 9800 I've been looking into.)

When I installed the card and software that came with it, everything worked like a charm. The tuner found all my cable channels and the capture worked well, too. I wanted to try capturing with other software programs, though, that might offer more flexibility so I've installed and uninstalled several over the past few days and haven't found any that worked. I've tried capturing with this card using VirtualDub and Windows Movie Maker, too, and couldn't get it to work with those, either.

I gave up and went back to the program that came with the card...and suddenly it doesn't work after all. I'm guessing something else I installed messed it up somehow. So I uninstalled and reinstalled the card...and it still doesn't work. I tried System Restore back to the day before I installed the card the first time and it says no changes were made to my system and the card still won't work.

When I check my device drivers listing it says the card is functioning normally. Here's what's listed in the device drivers for the card:

TV Champ Driver File Details:

c:\WINDOWS\IR.Dll
c:\WINDOWS\IR3601.exe
c:\WINDOWS\system32\34api.dll
c:\WINDOWS\system32\34com.dll
c:\WINDOWS\system32\34dd.dll

Can anybody tell me if they can see a problem with these drivers? Is anybody familiar with this particular card? Is there something in my registry that I should edit that would make a difference (I've never messed around with my registry before, so I'm a little skittish about doing that, but I will if that's what it takes).

I figured somebody on this forum would be able to offer some advice so I can get this card back to it's original working order. Or maybe somebody can help me with the Emuzed Maui III-G card that I gave up on last week...?

Thanks
