Can anyone please recommend some PC software that will enable me to edit DVD-RAM discs containing TV recordings? I just want a very basic, simple, idiot-proof package - no bells or whistles - that I can use to edit out advertisements etc. without downloading the recording to the hard drive. The discs have been produced on a Panasonic DMR-ES10EB DVD recorder I am aware that there is an editing facility on this unit, but I would prefer to do the task on my PC. (I notice the file extension for this video format is .VRO is that unique to Panasonic?)

It's far easier and faster to edit on the recorder. You have to copy to the HD, about 20-25 minutes, if not editing will take forever.
