  1. I did a bit of searching and could not quite understand what I was reading
I have been off this forum for some time got a new hobby other than video I am really out of date as to what is available now.

I am looking to use my LCD 27 monitor tv on my computer as I do not have the space for both a TV and a monitor unless I mount the tv over a fireplace which I heard was really not recomended

What would the best video card for me to get for my PC least expensive
that will give me decent quality reading print on a computer. The LCD MonitrorI bought has a vga input and dvi with resolution of 1000 something I currently have a radeon 9200 SE card in my computer now.

I do not do any gaming or watching video on my Computer so the least expensive way to hook this up is the best. Just incase I really don't like the combination. I also have a wireless keyboard and mouse and rolling chair I can move everything to get the best view for me.

I would post the exact brand and model of your TV monitor. They handle digital video differently. Generally I believe the digital input, DVI, would be best. Someone here may be familiar with that model or it's capabilities and be able to suggest a better video card.

Even with that, you may be disappointed at the results as far as the legibility of text is concerned. TV and computer monitors are designed for different purposes. But with the monitor specifications, someone may be able to tell you how well it will work.

  3. I got it working very well using the vga input on my LCD monitor , I did not realize the monitor vga plug came off, tried it on the vga on the tv and works better than my old crappy monitor. Clear text and a 9" bigger screen

Good deal You might see if you can round up a DVI cable and give that a try if your card has DVI output. If VGA works that easy, might be worth a try.

Some few monitors have detachable cables, you were lucky with that.
