DVD menu question...

I did a search on my question and did not find anything that seem to come close to what I want to do. I want to make a collage of 5 pictures - 4 quadrants and a circle in the middle - and let people either choose a number associated with each picture to start the dvd or if using a computer allow them to use the mouse to choose the area. I am still a newbie so need a degree of simplicity. I usually use ulead v. 8 to do my work. Is this a difficult task? Can someone tell me the simplest way to do it?

This kind of menu is generally done in layers in Photoshop. I'm not sure if your authoring application is compatible with PSD files. Anyway, I'll show you how to do it in Photoshop
