  1. I would like to know how to take a scene from the DVD I am making, animate it in the beginning of the DVD and after the animation the menu appears.

I have this clip of a guy watching a computer screen and the cam zooms on him, then it rotates and zooms on the monitor. It is now I want the animation to stop and the scene selection etc appears in the "monitor"

Hope I made my self clear and thanks for listening.

There are a couple of ways to do this. You can replicate that clip of film and if you have room on your dvd, drop it in as a clip of it's own, or you can use chapters to mark out the clip you're using, but then those chapters remain active while you're watching the main movie. Your choice.

    The clip way:
Create a blank menu. Drag and drop your clip to it so it becomes a motion background. Create an invisible all button anywhere on this menu. Link it to your main menu. In the menu playback properties set duration: a/v, highlight: 1, force activate: 1. In the connections window draw from first play to the motion menu.

    OR

    The chapter way:
Mark out the beginning and end of this clip with chapter points.
Open connections window and create a movie branch object. Open that and add to list only the one chapter that starts the clip. Then draw connections from first play to the movie branch and from the movie branch to the main menu.
