simple answer .... YES!
more complex answer ..... depends on which model PS1 you got.
If you've got a PS1 with a parallel port on the back you've got it made ..... if not then it's not the end of the world
OK - with pport : go to ANY decent playstation supplier (do a quick search on the web) and you'll discover a product called the GAMAR MOVIE CARD.
This little beasty plugs in the back of you PS1 and not only gives you VCD 1.0/1.1/2.0 playback, but also performs pretty well as a cheat cartidge as well!
(You often find them for sale on eBay too)
without pport : the same PS supplier should also stock a 'disk' version of the card. This is a CD which you have to run before you can play a VCD. It works, but it's a little more fiddley to use as you have to do a 'disk-swap'.
I've got the latest version (GAMAR 003) and it works great.
Because I've just bought a new DVD player though, I'm about to sell my card. Email me if interested .....
Merry Xmas.
