  1. What's the difference between Lightscribe DVD+/-R Media, and normal printable media?

Can only lightscribe discs be used for printing in lightscribe drives? Or are normal printable discs compatible too?

    Thanks,

    Tony

Or are normal printable discs compatible too? Yes and NO
CAn be burned as normal BUT will NOT have lightscribe surface...they can be printed on using epson r200 or canon ip3000 or your own John Bull stencil set or even one of those dymo labelling gagdys but those labels are a bit thick, but you can get new ones that print really nice thin labels but they arent really used for labelling DVD or cdr tho I think its not a bad idea as they would not have the balance issues associated with full disk stick on labels..and dont overlook flashwrite(?) which is a new thing from the thingy companies which is exactly like lightscribe only it works at full burner speed eg 6-10 mins per disc and they hope the media will not be over priced, plus I think you can get two burned colors and the surface color... ahh the caffeine is wearing off now...
