    I've never been able to find any documentation on Tools/Fix.
    What exactly does it do, and when should I use it?

    Ooops! Sorry I missed that in my searching.
    Now I'm looking for some information on how to recognize that a file might have a broken index.
    What symptoms would I see if I tried to view a file with a broken index?
