Hey, when I shall rip a DVD to SVCD and encode using CCE, I need to resize the video first. Sure.

I use DVD2AVI, and then I load the file into Tmpeg, choose the correct frame size and save the project, load the project into vfapi converter and finally load the dummy AVI into CCE.

    So what's the problem?

Well which settings in tmpeg matter? Can I choose whatever setting I want on motion search, bitrate, encode mode etc .. ?

    Thanks guys

  2. well i really dont like TMPGEnc to resize when i use CCE why dnt you try to use Virtualdub instead it has subtitle capablities and a great resizer filter and other filters you might need there is a guide on http://www.Felxion.org but it shows the virtualdub to TMPGenc just change the TMPGEnc to CCE and download Vfapi 1.03b so it can accpet the VDR file and turn to a fake avi file

I agree with pinoy2201, VirtualDub or Avisynth offer better resize filter. However, it will work as you described, only the filter settings do matter, incl. the resizing. Don't care about motion search, bitrate, encode mode etc .
