  1. Hello yes I have a bunch of duckman episodes I would like to burn to dvd making a chapter list all that stuff. My question is about whether it would be better if I convert from mpeg1 (which they are currently approx 220mb each) to mpeg2 (which of course is better quality) then convert to dvd format then burn that to the dvd. So basically I would like some advice as to what would be simpliest yet offer me the best quality.

  2. I would Leave them as mpeg1 and just convert the Audio to 48000 Hz, and Author. Converting to Mpg2 will not help the quality.Best to leave them if you can.Unless you wanted to use filters or somthing along those lines.

What are the Specs of the Video Files?

  3. the specs of the files are all as follows..

    video

    MPEG-1, 352-240 29.97fps (4:3) NTSC, 1150

    audio

    MPEG-1, audio layer-2, 44100 hz stereo, 224kbps

    They seem not bad.

the video is dvd compliant, you just need to convert the audio to 48khz. tmpgenc dvd author will do it for you, just add the mpegs, author burn. done.

    What the big guy said

Just load them into TMPGEnc DVD Author, make your menus, chapters, ect.
Author and burn, TDA will convert the audio for you.
There is no easier way or program to transfer vcd's to dvd 8)

  7. No wait I have a question about the TMPGEnc create menu. Okay so I created a new theme to have 12 main menu tracks one for each episode.
and for layout of track menu I choose layout 6 #2. My problem is when I go to the main menu it only displays the 1 track that I suppose leads to the "Track #1 menu" then under that is the 11 "Select chapter #s". So basically how do I add more track # menus so I can have one for each episode's chapter clips?

Maybe because I have trial version that doesn't allow this? I can't find the option to add more track menus.

  9. Okay so I output it to VOB okay and I use TMPG to burn it to a dvd -R tuyen disc at 8X. It only took about 10 minutes to burn. But when I play any episode after 20 seconds it's apparent that the sound isn't in sync with the video. At the start its okay but very quickly I realize that its not even close and the audio just gets further and further away from the video. It's the audio thats slow btw, any ideas on how this happened? Aside from the audio being slow sync to the video it seems fine.
