I have a Samsung LCD TV 40" (1366x768) with HDMI that permit high definition trasmission (720p and 1080i). I have a Denon 1920 that upscales photos via HDMI at 1080i but the real definition viewed it's similar to the PAL system (576 lines).
I want to know if someone has a dvd player that uses HDMI connection to view high definition photos at maximum level possible by the TV.
Thank you
Bye

A line from www.hometheaterstore.com, which sells Denon 1920 players, reads, 'It can upgrade or "upconvert" DVD video signals to near-High-Definition images' Notice the words "near-High-Definition". Just because a signal is coming out of an HDMI connector, does not necessarily mean that it is HD. In this case, it could be a signal of any resolution, wrapped in a 1080i signal. A tool-tip box about HDMI from this same website reads, "supports standard, enhanced or high-definition video".

Are you sure the images are in "high definition"?
