I've had this AVI wonder card (7xxx) version for a couple of years, and every time I try to capture video / Audio from VCR I drop the audio. I can hear TV audio, I can hear VCR audio just fine. I hooked the cables up as required in the manual, I chose AVI file as capture, but when I do any capture from VCR, no audio.... GRRRRRRRRRR. Thanks for the help, I am going to try capturing from the "TV" mode tonight to see if it retains the audio.![]()

How is the audio connected? Try piping the audio into your sound card's line-in.

That is what the ATI setup says to do. I get Audio, it is just very low... In order to hear on DVD player you must turn up full blast, which is not good practice. I am looking where I can adjust volume, since the "TV" audio is fine, as soon as I go to capture composite, the audio goes down.

You sound cards mixer (or Window's) should have a volume adjustment.... have you tried there?
