    just wondered if anyone knows what format dvd recorders record as ?
    i dont have one myself but i have been given a disk (dvd-rw) from a friend and he wants me to copy it for him.
    when i load it my pc doesnt see the disk and if i try to play it with windows media player it gives me the message unsuported format, and my dvd player does not play dvd-rw.

    any help would be great thanks
