    EDIT: Completely reworded post:

Two quick questions: (1.) Can a .sub file contain more than one language of subtitles in a single file? (2.) Is there a way for standalone MPEG-4 players to read chapters with an AVI file (maybe with an accompanying file that has chapter information) or is there another container that does support chapters that standalone players might support?

Bump. I changed around the questions a bit so they might make more sense (I hope). Thanks in advance.

    (1) If it's a VobSub .sub/.idx - Yes. If it's a text based .sub - No
    (2) No. Not for AVI. DivX 6 tries to rival the DVD specs when it comes you features, UI and stuff - but it's rather new, and "old" DivX players don't handle it.
