Does anyone know of a issue while using progressive scan. Int. during playback there are horizontal white moving lines. I have seen one other thread on this. Have other people seen this, heard of a fix??

    Any help would be appreaciated.

  2. I don't know if this refers to you, but progressive scan will only work with a TV that is equipped for progressive scan. If the TV is not so equipped to handle progressive scan, then disable it on the DVP642.

I have my DVP642 hooked up via component video to a Dell 2300 projector... It works great 99% of the time.. Just every once and a while I get the white horizontal moving lines...

Yes, it happens to me occasionally with Progressive Scan on, I don't know of a solution.
    My A/V hardware: Sony 30" KV-30HS420, Philips DVP642/37, Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1, Comcast/Motorola DCT6200, PS2 SCPH-30001 (and it still works!)

  6. Lines that are MOVING are almost always a grounding problem. Make sure all components are properly grounded; it's worth a check. In one strange instance, I had a player with a 3 prong plug that was making moving white lines, and the problem disappeared when I put it into a "ground buster" plug and REMOVED the ground. So you never can tell, but I'm betting that something which should be grounded isn't, or something that shouldn't be grounded is.
