I have a dual layer 16x AOpen burner and when I burn at 12x the buffer goes crazy and it takes 40 minutes as opposed to what took 19 minutes with 2.4 speed. It is a new burner and I have it installed as the primary and am using Nero to burn. The buffer fluctuates a lot from 6 to 99 during the process and I dont know it that has anything to do with it.
Any suggestions?

My Benq does something similar. I have since figured out that it simply likes +R discs more than -R discs even though it is dual format. I've learned to live with it.

I am using +R but maybe I need to try -R. I changed the virtual memory and it helped but it is still really slow.
