I want to remove all the language menus on a DVD but for one.
eg: DVD has portuguese, english and spanish menu option. i want to strip down english and spanish.
I know IFOEDIT has a MENU EXTRA function, that seems to be able to do this.
When i try this option, i get one screen with the languages i have to choose which to keep and which to strip, but when i click NEXT i get a screen with a zillion files to choose, and i dont know what do i really need and what to get rid of!!!
is there a detailed tutorial teaching how to do this without mistakes??
thanks!!

I'm absolutely sure, but I don't think IFOEdit actually edits the menu. The option will still exist on the menu, but will be unavailable. When you are selecting/de-selecting audio streams, you are just selecting whether you are keeping the audio contained in the VOB or stripping it from the VOB.

thanks for the reply!!
but... actually, i'm not talking about removing audio and subtitles, but main DVD menus.
i have 3 versions for each menu on this particular DVD.
anyone knows if i can actually do this??? strip english and spanish menus and make portuguese menus the default (and only one)?? -
thanks for the suggestion, but...
i downloaded it, tried it, and it only works if the DVD has a MENU LANGUAGE OPTION menu.
since this DVD chooses which menu language by reading the players settings, it doesnt have this menu.
but i think IFOEDIT actually does it. anyone have ever done this??? -
Use PGCedit's "remove LU" function.
This is from the PGCedit help:
Remove LU: Click on any PGC in a language unit (LU) and use this utility to remove the entire language unit from the particular menu (VTSM or VMGM). You will need to do this for all unwanted LUs in all VTSs. This utility removes all traces of the LU from the IFOs (leaving the cells unreferenced) but does not strip them out of the VOBs – to do this, you should process the menus with VobBlanker. Note: You can not remove the last LU of a VTS – to do this, use the Remove Menu utility. -
In IFOEdit's Menu Extra's tab you need the check "Strip Language Units." Its right next to "Strip Vobs." After hitting next you should see all your different languages. Just select the one you want to keep. On the next screen where it lists all of the vobids, the ones for the other language units will already be deslected. Just hit strip it and IFOEdit will do the rest.
