    Hello.

I've been looking in the DVD player Lists here and well..I'm looking for something that I can buy in the store: Such as Circuit City, FYE, CompUSA, etc.

I'm looking for a DVD player that plays DivX/Xvid, my DVD-Rs, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, VCD, MP3 CDs and MP3 DVDs as well as the conventional DVDs. I don't really care about the DL formats but, if thats in it aswell..I'll take it.

I'm lookig to pay between $30 - $100 if thats possible..if not..please post your picks anyway. I payed $220 for my Panasonic DVD player (Forgot the model number, was one of the 1st DVD players to come out) and it played my DVD-Rs, MP3 CDs, and VCDs with ease.

I just happen to have a few DivX Movies that when I try to encode them to MPEG-2, they screw up and have audio sync issues and crap...and no..I don't have the time to sit there and fix it.

What are your guys picks and if possible could you post a link to where I can buy it?

Any and all help will be appreciated

    Thanks..I appreciate the help!

  2. LG DF8900P! Not sure if it is sold in the states, though it could be sold under a different name (generic)....Has a 7 in 1 card reader (sd,md etc) plays xvid (with packed bitstream), divx, DVD-+r, DVD-+rw, mp3 and even plays raw mpeg files 1&2...Hope that helps

  6. Hi,

I've been very impressed with the playback capabilties of the JSI JS4127. It's available at Sears for $109 and is also an uscaling player. I wrote about it Here, and I wrote a longer review of it in the DVD player section.

The JSI plays a LOT of things very well. Definitely worth the money over the Phillips.

The Pioneer is a good player but has problems with packed bitstreams. If you'd rather have a Pioneer than a JSI, you might want to consider the Pioneer DV-383 players floating around on EBay. They are region free and also have DivX capability, but are cheaper because they lack DVD-Audio and SACD playback.

Yes..I already searched. I created this post to see what we're people's recomendations and I wanted to see if anybody knew where to buy one from an actual store..not an online store.
