    Hi there, I would like to know if it;s possible to hook up a upconvert hd dvd player to my dell 19 widescreen.

    If normal DVD player with DVI out, maybe. Monitor must accept 480p or 720p or 1080i.

    True HDTV player (HD or BR) need HDMI connector. Or DVI with 1080i/p 720p with HDCP encryption.

    If not then no.
