I work for the state govt. and we have encountered an issue that I have as yet to identify so I am posting this here.
Our dept. records meetings on Panasonic HD's.
We print a disk with a Epson R200.
Burn content to disk, QT content.
Place content on a shelf.
Make copies with our duplcator.
Here's the rip, we can make copies or view disk but after a few days the content is no longer accessable, this is intermitent and not on all disk, we have narrowed it down to disk and the possibility that they are bad but what we can not explain is why it would work for awhile and then all of a sudden not work, it appears as thought the index is gone and the disk is no longer readable.
Has anyone else ever experienced this problem?

What brand of blank media are you using? That sounds like the problem, the media ID would be even more useful.

Followup, we are printing on white printable disk if that makes any difference.

BTW non-linear!
your menus look great. Don't be so modestAll's well that burns well. -
The disk is Pro Disk.
I am not able to get the DVD info software so I don't know what the number is.
We print the disk before we burn it.
I had our IT dept. look at it he is trying a data recovery and we are running other test. -

And printing on them first should not make a diff. it's not like you are putting sticky label's on them first, although i never print first, always after burning, but alot of people do print first and i have not heard of any problems.
As far as the software to get the media code, all you have to do is click the link
-> DvdInfo <- and install it and run it on a blank in the drive, it's free 8)
Unless you want to get rid of the built in banners....
