    Anyone know anything about them? Any region-free or Macrovision hacks like for my DVG-3000N? I just picked one up for $30, but can't find anything here or on Google.

    Well, from what I can tell, it appears to be the 9200, but with a new case. Don't know for certain though. One thing I do know, it won't play mpeg2's burned as data directly to a disc. Pretty disappointing considering my 3000 would. That was nice for quickly testing how some things would look. On another note, a Google search today now turns up this thread and a few listings on E-Bay from people in my area.

    This hack worked great for me.

    Multi-Region:
    • Power On and Open the tray
    • Enter 8, 2, 8 and 6 on the remote
    • It shows "Region Code" selection
    • Enter 0 on the remote to make region free
