Hi all !
I am using a DV500 and trying to capture a 5 minute
video (demo from a now defunct company) and convert
it to a mini DVD.
The problem is the tape has been sitting around for
nearly 5 years and looks more like it was 20. I can't
describe the picture as "grainy", but it's more like a
lot of splotchy discolorations in the picture. It's a
CGI video and the best way I could probably describe
it is a third, maybe 4th generation copy.
I need to keep it at 720x480, but even the smoothing
filters doesn't give the results I need.
I have a sample frame posted at
http://www.classicgamecreations.com/sample.jpg
It's not interlaced, but you can see what I mean by
the discolorations. Also, most of the video is sharper
than this, this is just one of the worse scenes.
Thanks,
JD
