  1. joeg04: When I make DVD's I go the extra step and make an ISO File, and then burn that with DVD Decrypter and then verify that with DVD Decrypter. DVD Decrypter has so many uses, I just thought I would use it for this purpose as well. But your method seems good as well. Thank you for the information, it was kind of you to respond to my questions.

  2. Just wanted to add my take for the issue. Bought a 100 pcs of both Ritek G04 and TY media from Rima about 6 mths back. Burned both and found the Ritek media going bad, the majority had skipping problems, some were unplayable. In contrast, the TY had no major problems.

Will stick to TY for now. Just ordered another 200 pcs of TY from Rima a week back.

Maybe i jumped to conclusions a bit too quickly. The last batch of RITEK DVD+Rs were indeed lousey and overly skipping. First time that ever occured.

But the recent 50-pack of DVD-Rs i now have seem to work well. The first few bad discs may have been the result of the original itself, which also displayed problems while playing. Though i was able to make a good backup of it later, every other burn i've tried since then with these newer discs has worked out well and they read perfect on error scans(DVDInfoPro).

I'll just assume the first batch of skippity DVD+Rs i had were a fluke, and stick with Ritek as its always been decent in the past and as long as my current 50-pack of DVD-Rs continue to be good.
