  1. Hi, I am a teacher and am in charge of putting the Remembrance Day ceremony togehter. I have a DVD I want to use for a video tribute. It is a free DVD from the Veterans of Canada. There are 5 chapters I want to pull interviews from, and 1 video. I got the video already by browsing the DVD. That worked. Now, the interviews (on 5 different chapters) are in there too, but I dont see them by browsing the DVD. What do I need to do? I want to put this into Powerpoint. (That much I can handle...) BTW, can I use AVI in Powerpoint, or does it have to be MPG?
What software do you recommend I use for this operation?
I REALLY appreciate anyone's help on this matter! (the sooner the better...)
I want to get this done right away so it is not at my neck on Nov. 10 !!

    Thanks in advance,
    Matthew

If you have the VOBs, etc. on your hard drive, then look at this guide:

If you don't have the files yet, use DVD Decrypter to rip the file to the HD.

If all you want to do is cut and paste, try Cuttermaran and leave the files in MPEG format. (If you have enough room on your final DVD or file)

If not convert to AVI. Powerpoint can handle quite a few formats, MPEG, AVI, Real, MOV and a few more. Some good tutorials for PP video and info can be found on Google with a search for 'Powerpoint video formats'.
