I've been reading the info here and want to check if I am doing the right thing. I have mpeg2 (TV recordings) and I want to convert to simple DVD (no menus, etc.) I used Tmpgenc and chose DVD and then encoded. The result was two files, a video file and an audio file. If I then use Tmpgenc DVD Author, is it a straightforward matter to input the two files (audio and video) to burn a DVD? One other question, the video file that Tmpgenc created was much larger than the original mpeg2 file. Why does this happen?

If your Mpeg2 was compliant you dont need to Re-Convert/Encode it.
Just use Tmpgenc DVD Author.
