I know that this is a very stupid question, but I've forgotten how to capture a still from a DVD.
I have Intervideo WinDVD 5 on my computer, and not only have I forgotten where the capture folder is, but I've forgotten the key(s) to press when I want to make a still from a DVD.
Can anyone help me out? Sorry for the stupid question. I searched, but couldn't find the answer.
I would use Media Player Classic to make the capture, but I can't rewind/fast forward with it, and I really need to make this capture fast.

I'm using a different version of WinDVD but it probably operates the same.
I right click on the window and select bookmark/capture and then select capture image.
When the new little bar pops up hit the disc shaped icon to save the image.
By default, WinDVD stores my captures in My documents/My pictures/WinDVD capture.
You can check your default directory by right clicking in the picture and selecting setup then going to control and looking at the capture directory. -
When I click on Bookmark, it just has "Add, Delete, Delete All."
I clicked on the setup button, and the capture directory/bookmark and capture options is greyed out and such. I could've sworn that I've been able to capture stills before...Knowledge is Power, For Real! -
You can use photoshop, Nero, VobBlanker .. or any player with camera icon will load a snapshot to your clip board just paste it to any of editing program.

I don't think windows media player has a capture tool but you just hit print screen and then paste into any imaging software.
To get around the blank screen capture problem you need to open any video in one software player and let it play. Then open the video you want to capture and use the print screen button. Since the first video is playing it uses the overlay so you are free to capture your other video. In case I'm not being clear, open the dummy video in something like media player classic and then play your other video in WinDVD. -

* Notes:
This feature is only available if video mixing rendering is turned on in the Player and the DVD decoder and display hardware support video mixing rendering. To turn on video mixing rendering, on the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Performance tab. Click Advanced, and then, in the DVD Video area, select the Use video mixing renderer check box. Some display hardware only supports video mixing rendering if the screen resolution is set to 800 x 600 pixels and the color quality is set to 16-bit. For more information about changing screen resolution and color quality, see Windows Help.
