I'm currently working on DVD containing a number of converted flash animations using DVDStyler.
What I'd like to do is have each clip pause or stop at the first frame when selected. Is there a method or vmcommand that will do this that's compatible with the above authoring program?

Cal

I'm not sure if it is possible with dvdstyler, but IMHO the most easy method would be to use a 'starter menu' with just the first frame of your clip as background and an invisible button to start playing (which would start the vob file). Something like this:
MainMenu:
Button: clip1
Button: clip2
Button: clip3
...
Button clip1 links to a titleset menu with the first frame of clip1; the titleset menu has a start button for the 'real' clip which is selected by default (and maybe invisible as totally transparent)
clip2 links to a menu with the first frame of clip2...
Would be very easy with GfD, but I don't know if dvdstyler supports individual titleset menus...GUI for dvdauthor:

I'll give that a shot. However, I'm looking at over 80 clips so I may go the route of editing each clip to pause for a few seconds at the beginning...
So far, I've found DVDStyler does do multiple titlesets (three so far...). The only restriction I've found is that there seems to be a limit of 32 menus/objects per titleset, which I'm not sure is a DVDStyler or DVDauthor limitation (gives me a 'too many links' error when compiling).

The (DVD) limit is 36 buttons per menu and 99 titlesets per DVD. In GfD there is an additional limit for ~240 total menus. So no problem with 80 clips...
P.S. You need to spread your main menu to several pages to access all 80 clips as you can put only 36 buttons on one menu page.GUI for dvdauthor:

That's what I'm doing now...5 submenus off the main menu each containing 12-16 items.
It was interesting to discover that when I grouped two submenus of 15 & 16 clips together in a titleset, it wouldn't compile, but would if it was 15 & 15. The assumption I got from that was that the total number of 'assets' (menus & linked clips) couldn't be more than 32 in a titleset.
Now I'll just have to decide whether creating 80 'still links' is preferable to editing 80 source files...

Here's an alternative idea. Add a frame from the start of the next chapter to the end of the one before it. Now set the still time at the end of that chapter to the length of the pause you want.

Finally got the project finished. Used ImageGrab for screen captures and created six titlesets!
