  1. I have been looking on the internet for about 2 hours trying to find a damn converter that supports PCM to MP3. I encoded my DivX AVI file using LSX, since it wasn't de-compressed, it only encoded the Video. So, I ripped the audio using Virtual Dub, thinking that i could multiplex it in TMPGEnc, well unfortunately, it needed to be in MP3. So then I went i got tooLame, which said my file wasn't 16 bit--WTF! I have no idea how to make it into 16-Bit, I used the compression menu in Vdub and tried that, didn't do shit. So if anyone--anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks

  2. In VirtualDub, under 'Audio' select 'full processing mode'. then under 'compression' choose <no compression>PCM, finally under 'conversion' select 44100hz, 16bit, stereo.

Also, for Audio conversion only, i like to use a tiny program called "CDex". It may not be for everyone, but I like it's simplicity. find it here

    Hope this helps
